With a name like Telfer… He has to be good.
One of Paris’ most successful realtors, Jim Telfer, was well-prepared for the business of buying and selling homes by a lifetime spent as a full-time farmer. Jim’s family has farmed in the area for more than 150 years. The Telfer name is synonymous locally with hard work, pay back to the community and a commitment to excellence. An internationally noted dairy producer and breeder, Jim still occasionally helps out on his family’s Pinehurst Road century farm and he’s an active director of The Paris Agricultural Society.
With a smile Jim notes that real estate has a lot in common with farming. It requires hard work, long hours, and lots of nights and weekends. “My fingernails don’t get as dirty,” he laughs.
Responding to changes in the farming industry, Jim made the decision to branch out into real estate five years ago, and after completing his education he was immediately rewarded with a number of exclusive listings in the area.
In the spring of 2008 Jim joined the team at Remax, a move that was immediately successfull as it opened access to the resources of the largest real estate company in Canada to even better serve his clients.
Today, people recommend Jim Telfer as an agent who is trustworthy and dedicated, and a genuinely nice guy to boot. More and more people in Paris and the surrounding area are turning to Jim when they want to buy or sell a home fast and fairly.
Jim lives in the outskirts of Paris with his wife April and three children, Richard, Jaime and Olivia.
